Leeds United have reportedly added ex-Tottenham man Troy Parrott to their list of striker options after sealing promotion to the Premier League.

ToggleTEAMtalk claims that AZ Alkmaar attacker Parrott is being 'watched closely' by Leeds but they are yet to make any formal enquiries. The report adds that the Whites are also keeping West Ham loanee Evan Ferguson and Southampton striker Cameron Archer — who was a January target — on their radar.

Leeds secured their return to the Premier League in impressive style last month but the task ahead of them is a huge one. For two seasons in a row, the three promoted Championship sides have gone straight back down as the gulf between the two divisions continues to grow. The Yorkshire outfit will need to spend heavily if they want to stay in the top-flight and even if they do, there is no guarantee it will pay off.
Parrott joined Tottenham in 2017 but in his seven years at the club he made just four appearances for them in all competitions. Since moving to AZ last summer, though, he has scored 20 goals in 45 matches.
Before Leeds can think about signing any of these players, or any others, Daniel Farke's side will hope to win the Championship title when they face Plymouth Argyle on Saturday in their final game of the season.
